It’s official, the enoa network (European network of opera academies) - which was founded by the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence – will receive support from the European Commission Creative Europe programme from May 2016 to May 2020.

After five years of workshops and productions taking place across Europe, the enoa network is renewing its commitment to artists at the start of their professional careers and launching its new Young Opera Makers programme with support from the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, starting in May 2016.

In a rapidly changing industry, where the role of creation, the development of new forms, the exploration of innovative creative processes and audience renewal are among the major challenges for opera professionals, the issue of the training and occupational integration of young creators and performers is of crucial importance. By offering tailored training courses, consisting of a wide variety of activities hosted by enoa members all over Europe, and by integrating them into international recruitment circuits, the network aims to give young artists the keys to their occupational integration and international career development.
